Labradorite

A stunning mineral normally displaying brilliant layers of iridescent blue, gold and green colours, labradorite was first discovered in Labrador, Canada by Moravian missionaries in 1770. Native Inuit lore claims that labradorite fell from the frozen fire of the Aurora Borealis. It is also often found in Nordic countries such as Norway and Finland, where it is sometimes referred to as ‘The Stone of Magick’ or ‘The Northern Lights.’
